Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week night shift travel contract requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and an active MO or compact RN license.

Details

• ICU setting with an average daily census of 6, 8 rooms, and 10 beds
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Staffing ratio of 1:2–3 on both day and night shifts
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• May float to Med/Surg if not needed in the ICU
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Required skills include ventilator management, IV starts, and telemetry monitoring

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration (pending IL license may be accepted — please note on application)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Proficiency with ventilators, IV insertion, and telemetry monitoring required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

Additional Information

• Navy scrubs required
• No parking costs at this facility
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Travelers may work at this facility for up to 18 months before requiring a 3-month break in service
• Former permanent employees of BJC must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
