Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring at least 1 year of experience and a night shift schedule with every other weekend commitment.
Details
- Hospital Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Floating within the facility within scope of practice as needed
- 9-week contract
Requirements
- Active GA or Compact RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of PCU or relevant nursing experience required
- All required certifications must be current and copies provided for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
- RTO is capped at 7 days and cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
- If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO permitted; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two, and one holiday RTO request may be submitted for approval
- Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counted as one), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counted as one), and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counted as one)
- No alternate shift or scheduling requests are permitted — the listed shift is firm
- Candidates must have been away from all facilities within this health system for at least 1 full year before returning as a traveler
- Full compliance with onboarding requirements is required to start on time; delays may result in a 2-week pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
