Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a minimum of 1 year of experience for a night shift position at an acute care community hospital, with Epic charting experience required.

Details

• Acute care community hospital setting with approximately 300 beds
• Respiratory therapy unit covering ER, adult med/surg, adult critical care, and RT-driven protocol areas
• Patient population spans infants through geriatrics; neonatal experience preferred
• Pediatric ER and pediatric unit coverage available for candidates with demonstrated competency only; will not be used in Level 3 NICU
• Responsibilities include nebulizer treatments, CPT, high-flow oxygen, NIV, cough assist, IPV, continuous albuterol, mechanical ventilation, in-house transport of mechanically ventilated patients, and assistance with intubations and bronchoscopy
• Preferred ventilator equipment experience: Puritan Bennett, Draeger, Servo I, LTV 1200/HT70
• Epic EMR — experience required
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:15 PM – 6:45 AM
• 36-hour workweek
• Every other weekend required; no on-call requirement
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible at a local pay rate

Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Valid NH state license required (pending NH license accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
• Required work setting experience: trauma, community hospital, ER, and adult ICU
• Required clinical skills: airway management, medication administration, vent management, ABGs, O2 therapy, suction, pulmonary toileting, nebulizer, BiPAP, and CPAP
• Epic EMR experience required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or Red Cross only)
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, PALS, CRTT
• Preferred work setting experience: Level I Trauma, teaching hospital, PICU, and acute care pediatric
• Preferred clinical skills: bronchoscopy experience
• License required if applicable
• Two professional references required for consideration (candidate may begin with second reference pending)
