Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg travel assignment on a specialized, secured unit focused on at-risk patients, requiring at least 2 years of experience and night shift availability.

Details

• Work on a 24-bed integrated medicine unit specializing in at-risk patient populations
• Secured unit with enhanced safety features including whole-unit video monitoring, ligature alarms, anti-barricade doors, and badge-secured entrance
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• 36 or 48 hours per week may be discussed at time of interview
• Floating is required
• Cerner charting experience preferred but not required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MO or Compact RN license currently in hand (no pending licenses)
• Current BLS certification required
• CPI Blue Card required (candidates in Behavioral Health)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with at least 1 year in Med/Surg
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Ability to ambulate, reach, and lift objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Any requested RTO must be submitted at time of consideration

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible; candidates within 75 miles may be considered at a reduced rate
• Position requires working at least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract
• Role involves regular contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses
• Rotating shifts and availability during inclement weather may be required
