Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg travel assignment on a specialized, secured unit focused on at-risk patients, requiring at least 2 years of experience and night shift availability.
Details
- Work on a 24-bed integrated medicine unit specializing in at-risk patient populations
- Secured unit with enhanced safety features including whole-unit video monitoring, ligature alarms, anti-barricade doors, and badge-secured entrance
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Every other weekend required
- 36 or 48 hours per week may be discussed at time of interview
- Floating is required
- Cerner charting experience preferred but not required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active MO or Compact RN license currently in hand (no pending licenses)
- Current BLS certification required
- CPI Blue Card required (candidates in Behavioral Health)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with at least 1 year in Med/Surg
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Ability to ambulate, reach, and lift objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Any requested RTO must be submitted at time of consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible; candidates within 75 miles may be considered at a reduced rate
- Position requires working at least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract
- Role involves regular contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses
- Rotating shifts and availability during inclement weather may be required
