Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level I Trauma Emergency Department position requiring ACLS & PALS certifications and a minimum of 2 years of experience, working night shifts with weekend and holiday rotation.

Details

• Academic, university hospital emergency department setting with a Level I Trauma, Stroke, and STEMI designation
• Pediatric ED embedded within the main ED
• Associated psychiatric center on-site (no floating to psych)
• Floating required between the ED and ED Observation unit
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
• Every other weekend required
• 50% of holidays during the contract are required

Requirements

• Active MO or Compact RN license currently in hand (no pending licenses)
• Current ACLS and PALS certifications required
• CPI certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with at least 1 year in emergency department nursing
• Level I Trauma ED experience required
• Ability to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

• First-time travelers with Level I Trauma experience are welcome to apply
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position; candidates within 75 miles may be considered at a reduced pay rate

• The ED operates 24/7, with rotating shifts including holidays and during inclement weather
