Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level I Trauma Emergency Department position requiring ACLS & PALS certifications and a minimum of 2 years of experience, working night shifts with weekend and holiday rotation.
Details
- Academic, university hospital emergency department setting with a Level I Trauma, Stroke, and STEMI designation
- Pediatric ED embedded within the main ED
- Associated psychiatric center on-site (no floating to psych)
- Floating required between the ED and ED Observation unit
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
- Every other weekend required
- 50% of holidays during the contract are required
Requirements
- Active MO or Compact RN license currently in hand (no pending licenses)
- Current ACLS and PALS certifications required
- CPI certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with at least 1 year in emergency department nursing
- Level I Trauma ED experience required
- Ability to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers with Level I Trauma experience are welcome to apply
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position; candidates within 75 miles may be considered at a reduced pay rate
- Any requested time off must be disclosed upfront during the consideration process
- The ED operates 24/7, with rotating shifts including holidays and during inclement weather
