Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced IR RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring a CA RN license, at least 3 years of experience, and on-call availability.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit within an acute care hospital setting
- Role includes time in a recovery room setting with patients from deep organ biopsy and angiography cases
- Schedule: 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- On-call required one night per week
- On-call required every 4th weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- Rotating weekend shifts required
- Operates complex stationary and mobile diagnostic imaging equipment
- Assists physicians with diagnostic and guidance imaging during invasive procedures
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 3 years of recent, relevant IR RN experience required
- PACU or recovery room experience with deep organ biopsy and angiography cases highly preferred
- IR or Cath Lab experience preferred
- 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration
Additional Information
- Prepare for and assist physicians during a variety of invasive diagnostic and guidance imaging procedures
- Monitor and care for patients recovering from deep organ biopsies and angiography cases
- Educate patients on procedures, medications, contrast media, and associated biological effects to alleviate fear and anxiety
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel pay rates
- Previous employees of this health system must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Only 1 holiday RTO request will be approved for the duration of the assignment
