Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU/Progressive Care Unit night shift position in Ohio, requiring 2 years of experience, Epic proficiency, and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 24-bed PCU/step-down unit, with 9 PCU beds and 15 med-surg beds, including a cardiac step-down component
• Patient population includes cardiac step-down and general PCU patients
• Estimated patient ratio of 1:3–5
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• EMR: Epic (experience required)

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• IV start, telemetry monitoring, and intermediate care skills required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Cardiac and/or IV insulin drip (GTT) experience preferred
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; no coworker references accepted

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Former facility employees are eligible for a travel assignment after a minimum 6-month separation from the facility
• RTO must be requested at the time of submission and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or fewer
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be initiated promptly after accepting the position — candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to an in-state fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet upon receipt
• Parking is available for purchase on-site through the facility's campus parking system, with multiple permit options at varying price points
