Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN Circulator for a 13-week travel assignment in Corpus Christi, TX, requiring cardiovascular surgery experience and active TX or Compact RN license.

Details

• Works across two hospital campuses (Bay Area Medical Center and Doctors Regional Hospital) supporting the Cardiovascular Heart Team OR
• Cardiovascular surgical patient population with a 1:2 RN-to-patient ratio (2 RNs and 2 techs per surgical case)
• Typical procedures include CABG, femoral popliteal bypass, carotid endarterectomy, valve procedures, and thoracotomy
• Uses open heart surgery equipment and cases
• EMR: Meditech
• Schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM (4x10-hour shifts)
• Thursdays are designated as call days on a rotating basis
• Rotating weekend call responsibilities required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Minimum 1 year of recent CVOR/cardiovascular surgery RN experience required
• OR circulator experience required
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Role functions as a cardiovascular surgery circulating RN, supporting open heart cases in the OR
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but strong CVOR and OR circulator experience is essential for consideration
