Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN Circulator for a 13-week travel assignment in Corpus Christi, TX, requiring cardiovascular surgery experience and active TX or Compact RN license.
Details
- Works across two hospital campuses (Bay Area Medical Center and Doctors Regional Hospital) supporting the Cardiovascular Heart Team OR
- Cardiovascular surgical patient population with a 1:2 RN-to-patient ratio (2 RNs and 2 techs per surgical case)
- Typical procedures include CABG, femoral popliteal bypass, carotid endarterectomy, valve procedures, and thoracotomy
- Uses open heart surgery equipment and cases
- EMR: Meditech
- Schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM (4x10-hour shifts)
- Thursdays are designated as call days on a rotating basis
- Rotating weekend call responsibilities required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active TX or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
- Minimum 1 year of recent CVOR/cardiovascular surgery RN experience required
- OR circulator experience required
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

- Role functions as a cardiovascular surgery circulating RN, supporting open heart cases in the OR
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
