Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PICU position at a leading pediatric hospital, requiring Level 1 experience and an OH or Compact RN license.

Details

• Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) within a children's hospital setting
• Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Floating required to NICU, CV PICU, ED, stepdown, and med-surg units based on facility needs
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active OH or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience highly preferred; first-time travelers considered with closer to 3 years of PICU experience
• Recent Level 1 facility experience required
• Must be willing and able to float to various pediatric units as needed
• 2 supervisory references required, including at least 1 supervisor or manager-titled reference (charge nurse references not accepted)

Additional Information

• Local candidates are not accepted for this RN position
• Candidates who have worked permanently for this health system must have a gap of at least 2 years before being considered
• First-time travelers will be considered with approximately 3 years of recent PICU experience
• Floating to different units is a core expectation of this assignment and candidates must be fully prepared to comply
