Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position at a women's hospital in Arlington, TX, requiring at least 1 year of high-risk OB travel experience and intermediate fetal monitoring certification.
Details
- Located within a women's hospital on the Labor & Delivery/OBED unit (floors 1 & 2), a 23-bed unit
- Night shift schedule: 7P–7A
- 13-week contract
- Patient ratio of 2:1
- High-risk OB patient population including magnesium drip and insulin drip management
- Procedures include circulating and scrubbing in addition to full high-risk OB care
- EMR: CPN/Meditech
- On-call requirement of 1 shift every 4 weeks
- Floating required within the women's service line, including Postpartum and Antepartum units
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Advanced 9th Edition, from American Academy of Pediatrics), and intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring (AWHONN or NCCEFM)
- At least 1 year of recent travel RN experience specifically in high-risk OB L&D
- Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
- One professional reference required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- OBED experience and high-risk/high-volume L&D background are preferred
- Ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
- Night shift team consists of 1 charge nurse coordinator, 4–6 RNs, 1 CST, and 1 unit secretary
