Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week travel contract at a critical access hospital rehab unit in Highlands, NC.

Details

• Critical access hospital setting with a dedicated Rehab Services unit
• Primary patient population consists of predominantly swing bed patients with a rehab-focused care model
• Workflow is structured at one patient per hour
• Set schedule of Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Documents in Cerner
• May float to Eckerd Living Center, located within the same building
• Unit is supported by approximately 2 CNAs per shift and a rehab tech available 20 hours per week
• 24-bed facility with full lift equipment available and a newly renovated rehab gym featuring a functioning kitchen, laundry setup, and outdoor therapy space

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of PT experience required; must have active experience within the last 6 months
• Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start)
• Active PT state license required (license required if applicable)
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible

Additional Information

• Primary responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of hospital-admitted patients with a strong emphasis on active treatment rather than evaluation only
• Comprehensive PT evaluations and treatments are performed on the unit
• No specific scrub color required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
