Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Ultrasound Technologist for a sonography position requiring an ARDMS certification and Epic EMR experience, working evening shifts Monday through Friday.

Details

• Hospital-based ultrasound/medical imaging department
• Performs routine and specialized ultrasound examinations across multiple modalities including abdominal, OB/GYN, breast, vascular, and invasive procedures
• Patients of all ages
• Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM (evening shift)
• Rotating backup call every 3–4 weekends
• Holiday rotation required
• No floating required
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Sonography or Radiology, or certificate of completion of a Radiologic Technology program
• Current BLS certification
• One of the following ARDMS certifications required: RDMS-AB, RDMS-OB/GYN, RDMS-BR, RDMS-FE, RDMS-NE, or RDMS-PS
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant sonography experience
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Experience with sterile field setup, biopsy assistance, and invasive procedures
• Proficiency with ultrasound equipment hardware and software, including transducer selection and machine settings
• License required if applicable
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Additional Information

• Performs and evaluates diagnostic ultrasound images ensuring complete and accurate exams are submitted to the radiologist
• Assists radiologist with biopsies and invasive procedures, including sterile tray setup
• Orders labs and pathology tests under radiologist direction
• Assesses abdominal arterial and venous systems using color imaging
• Responsible for accurate and timely patient data entry into the HIS system and coordination of patient flow
• Participates in QA, QC, and QI program maintenance
• Provides training and mentoring to fellow technologists and students
• Performs equipment troubleshooting and reports issues through appropriate channels
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment for more than 1 year at this health system; a 6-month break in service is required before returning
