Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with Urology/Gynecology experience for a 13-week travel assignment at a hospital-based Surgical Services unit in Jacksonville, FL.
Details
- Position is based in the Urology/Gynecology Surgical Services OR at a hospital in Jacksonville, FL
- 4-day workweek with 10-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, 6:45 AM–5:15 PM
- On-call is required as part of this role
- 40 hours per week
- Charting is done in Epic (experience preferred)
- No teleworking; fully on-site position with direct patient access
Requirements
- Active FL or compact RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
- Current BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross required
- Minimum 1 year of OR experience in Urology and/or Gynecology required
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program required; associate degree RNs with an RN start date of April 1, 2020 or later must complete a BSN within 5 years of their RN start date
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and adaptability skills required
- 2 professional references with facility name, supervisor name, and supervisor phone number required for consideration
- Florida Identity Verification Attestation required for consideration
- Date of birth required for consideration
- COVID vaccination and booster required
Additional Information
- Coordinates and delivers direct patient care, patient/family education, and care transitions for assigned OR patients
- Provides leadership through preceptor roles, informal leadership, and quality improvement participation
- Delegates patient care responsibilities based on skill level, acuity, and available resources
- May participate on committees or projects as needed
- Travelers who have been on assignment for one calendar year must take a 30–60 day break before returning to a new assignment
- This role is eligible for TN visa sponsorship; F-1 OPT holders are welcome to apply, but this role does not participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program; sponsorship requires state licensure and VisaScreen or equivalent certification
- First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but 1 year of specialty experience is required
