Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology (IR) position requiring prior IR work experience and an active WA or compact RN license.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting in an Interventional Radiology (IR) unit with 2 procedure rooms/scanners
• Common procedures include placement of lines, tubes, and drains
• RN responsibilities include pre, intra, and post-procedural patient monitoring
• IV insertion is required
• Average of 4–6 procedures performed per day
• Radiologist is in-house
• EMR: Epic (required); PACS: Change Healthcare (McKesson)
• Equipment includes Siemens and GE imaging systems
• Schedule: Days, four 10-hour shifts per week (4/10s)
• No weekend requirement
• On-call required for 3-day holiday weekends only
• No floating to other departments required

Requirements

• Active WA state or compact (NLC) RN license — must be active at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior IR (Interventional Radiology) work experience required
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required; ACLS preferred — pending certifications not accepted
• A driver's license must be provided for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, each including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Additional Information

• Department-specific orientation provided (12 hours)
• Blue scrubs required; scrubs are provided by the facility
• Shifts are pre-scheduled with some flexibility for self-scheduling
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates placed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
