Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU and/or PICU experience for a night shift travel assignment at a children's acute care teaching hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Details
- 13-week travel assignment at a 400-bed children's acute care teaching hospital
- NICU unit within a Level 1 trauma facility
- Pediatric and neonatal patient population, including critical care cases
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call required
- No floating within the facility
- Charting via Epic (experience required)
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
Requirements
- Current RRT and BLS certifications required
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
- NICU and/or PICU experience required
- Pediatric critical care and ED experience required
- Level 1 trauma facility experience required
- Valid Missouri state license required; Illinois candidates may be considered with a pending IL license (note applicable at time of consideration)
- Epic EMR experience required
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory therapy services to critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients in a NICU setting
- Work within a children's academic teaching hospital environment
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
- Former permanent employees of BJC facilities must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Standard travelers may work up to 18 months before a required 3-month break; Allied and Non-Clinical travelers may work up to 12 months before a required 6-month break
- Scrubs may be any color or facility-branded St. Louis Children's Hospital apparel
- Paid parking is available on-site in a garage (daily rates apply)
