Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Critical Access Hospital, requiring at least 2 years of recent ED experience and both KS/MO or compact licensure in hand.

Details

• Critical Access Hospital with 25 total staffed beds and a 7-bed ER
• Combined adult and pediatric Emergency Department
• Patient ratio of 1:4 across all shifts, with approximately 20 visits per day
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating may be required to a neighboring facility as needed
• Charts using Epic EMR
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license — both Kansas and Missouri licenses (or a compact license covering both states) must be in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent ED specialty experience required, including at least 1 full year of in-specialty experience within the past 12 months with no employment gap greater than 90 days
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Trauma Level IV experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Required clinical skills: general ED nursing (adult/pedi), dysrhythmia interpretation and management, central line care and management, IV vasopressors, CPAP/BiPAP, ventilated patient management, isolation precautions, and triage
• 2 professional references required — at least one must be supervisor level or above; the second may be a charge RN; all references must be from someone who has worked with the candidate within the past year
• SSN required for consideration

• Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of the facility are considered local and are not eligible for this position
• RTO is capped at 7 days for the duration of the contract
• Block scheduling is not available
• No on-call responsibilities
• Travel partners are not accepted for this position
• Navy scrubs required

• Completion of orientation modules (approximately 10–15 hours total) is required prior to the start of the assignment
