Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with required experience in both cardiac and vascular imaging for a 13-week travel assignment.

Details

• Adult acute care hospital setting in an Echo/Cardiac Sonography unit
• Performs procedures on patients in ICU and ED settings
• Variable start times available: 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, or 2:00 PM
• Schedule is 5x8-hour shifts covering day (7:30 AM–3:30 PM) and evening (2:00 PM–10:00 PM) shifts
• Requires 1–2 weekend shifts per month and approximately 3 on-call shifts per month
• Cardiac echo skills required: 2D Echo, Color Doppler, M-Mode, Bubble Study, Diastology, LV Strain/LV Volume, Simpson's Rule, RVIT, RVOT, Imaging with Contrast Agents, and portable studies
• Vascular skills required: Carotid studies, Doppler studies, Duplex imaging, Lower Extremity Venous, Peripheral Vascular Resistance, Transcranial Doppler, Upper Extremity Arterial, and Upper Extremity Venous
• Siemens equipment experience utilized
• Neonatal heart experience is preferred

Requirements

• Both cardiac and vascular experience are required — this is a hard requirement with no exceptions
• ARDMS or CCI RCS certification required
• License required if applicable
• BLS required
• Experience performing procedures in ICU and ED settings
• Proficiency with isolation precautions and obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform a full range of cardiac and vascular sonography studies including echo, vascular duplex, and Transcranial Doppler across inpatient and critical care settings
• All time off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
• Neonatal heart experience is a plus but not required
