Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with a minimum of 3 years of experience to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings at a Level 3 Trauma Hospital serving a neonate-to-geriatric patient population.

Details

  • Inpatient and outpatient CT setting within a Level 3 Trauma Hospital with 237 beds, 59 ED treatment areas, and a high volume of Stroke Alerts
  • Patient population spans neonates to geriatrics, including ED, inpatient, and outpatient cases
  • 4 CT scan rooms with an average daily caseload of 12–24 scans per day
  • Equipment includes Siemens and Philips CT scanners and Fuji PACS; Epic EMR is used
  • Schedule: 4x10-hour day shifts, Friday through Monday; Monday shift runs 19:45–07:15
  • Every other weekend required unless otherwise specified
  • 8 on-call days total during the assignment; at least 2 weeks notice will be provided, with the full call schedule set within the first week
  • Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
  • Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of CT Technologist experience
  • Active BLS, ARRT, and ARRT (R)(CT) certifications required
  • License required if applicable
  • Experience with inpatient, ED, and outpatient CT scanning workflows
  • Ability to start IVs and obtain patient consent
  • Must be able to work with a patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include performing CT scans on IP, ER, and OP patients per facility protocols, starting IVs, obtaining patient consent, and delivering quality patient care
  • Collaborative work environment alongside a team of technologists, nurses, physicians, and transporters
  • Gray scrubs required
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Candidates who have previously worked at any facility within this health system must have been away for a full year before returning as a traveler
  • RTO maximum is 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
  • If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work those holidays with no holiday RTO permitted; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them and may submit one holiday RTO request for review
  • Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
  • No schedule change requests or alternate shift requests are permitted — the posted shift is firm
  • Candidates undergo a clinical screening process prior to manager review
  • Full compliance must be completed on time; delays may result in a two-week pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
  • Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are strongly preferred for consideration
  • Copies of all required certifications are needed for consideration
