Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Neuro position at an academic medical center in St. Louis, MO, requiring at least 2 years of experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Work in the Med/Surg Neuro unit (5N) of a 356-bed non-profit academic medical center and tertiary care facility in St. Louis, MO
• Patient population includes stroke, neurology, neurosurgery, trauma overflow, and MS overflow cases
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• 13-week contract with night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Schedule options include 3x12 or 4x12 shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required to MS and all hospital care areas for MS patients, including ICU and ED holds
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or Compact RN license (pending license accepted)
• Current certifications: BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

• Navy blue scrubs required

• Candidates must reside more than 70 miles from the facility to be eligible — local travelers are not accepted
