Description
American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB certification for a 13-week travel contract at an acute care hospital and outpatient clinical setting.
Details
- Work in a Nuclear Medicine department serving both acute care hospital and outpatient clinical locations
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Saturday PET rotation from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- On-call rotation every 4th week, Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Nuclear Medicine
- Graduate of an AMA-approved formal radiologic technology training program in Nuclear Medicine
- ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB registration required, with current ODH licensure (license required if applicable)
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
- PET/CT experience or PET/CT advanced registry eligibility preferred
- PET/CT advanced certification preferred
- Driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Operate nuclear medicine equipment and all related instrumentation, making appropriate imaging decisions for technique, positioning, and radiation protection
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals under the direction of the supervising Radiologist with appropriate documentation, maintaining awareness of potential adverse reactions
- Practice sterile technique and cross-contamination prevention
- Maintain required records including proper labeling of images for interpretation
- Rotates within the department and performs exams across acute care and outpatient locations
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate

Helpful staff, lots to learn, bonus pay if you pick up. Training for new things ( procedures)is also done.
Cons
Training on th intermediate floor could be better. An actual list of how to do things. Floating to different units also can get annoying.
