Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg travel position in Kerrville, TX requiring at least 2 years of experience and ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

• Located in Kerrville, TX — Texas wine country, approximately 1 hour outside San Antonio
• Medical Surgical unit in a newer facility
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:30–07:00)
• Patient ratios: 1:5 on days, 1:6 on nights
• Floating required to 2W, CDU, and ARU
• Telemetry experience preferred

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Med/Surg and short stay experience required
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
• The facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, which includes marijuana; a positive result results in automatic cancellation with no exceptions
• Candidates should avoid any substances, including CBD products, that could result in a positive drug screen prior to and upon arrival onsite
