Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

  • Work setting is a hospital Emergency Department (ED)
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • 2 weekend shifts (or 4 weekend days) required per 6-week scheduling period
  • Holiday coverage required as needed
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active NC or compact RN license required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Preferred certifications: CPI, PALS, and TNCC
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience in the Emergency Department required
  • Epic EMR experience is mandatory
  • Prior Charge RN experience preferred
  • Level 2 Trauma experience preferred
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
  • Valid driver's license (DL) required for consideration
  • 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

  • All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance, with two attempts allowed — candidates should prepare in advance as study materials are not provided by the facility
  • Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
