Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week travel Nurse Manager position in an ICU setting, requiring a CA RN license and active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

  • Acute care hospital ICU (Intensive Care Unit) setting
  • Nurse Manager role overseeing ICU nursing staff and operations
  • 12-hour night shifts
  • Every other weekend (EOW) required
  • First to float when staffing needs arise
  • Charting system: Cerner

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license (Standard or Compact/NLC) required; pending licenses not accepted
  • Required certifications (all must be active; pending not accepted): BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
  • Driver's license required for consideration
  • Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Additional Information

  • Candidates must pass the Relias Dysrhythmia exam (basic or advanced) before an offer can be confirmed
  • A Pass/Fail competency test on sterile technique for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes is administered on the first day of orientation
  • Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered
