Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience, including at least 1 year of in-specialty experience, for a 13-week contract at a major academic Level IV Trauma Center.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit within a large, 838-bed short-term acute care hospital
- Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital; member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH)
- Daily caseload of 10–15 cases per tech
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Tuesday–Friday, 7:00 AM–6:00 PM
- No weekend, call, or float requirements
- Charting via Radiology Information System (RIS)
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of overall experience with at least 1 year of Interventional Radiology-specific experience
- ARRT certification and active WV State License required; pending WV license accepted for consideration but active license must be in hand prior to start
- License required if applicable
- BLS/CPR required
- CT and/or RVT certification preferred
- Driver's License and SSN card required for consideration
- Two manager or charge nurse references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered depending on experience
- Candidates must live more than 100 miles from the facility; candidates within 75–99 miles may be submitted for facility approval
- Former permanent employees of this facility are not eligible to return as travelers until 2 years after their last day of permanent employment
- Flu vaccine is required during flu season (October 1 – March 31); a medical exemption documented by an allergist or physician is accepted in place of vaccination
- No RTO restrictions; time off requests should be discussed with the manager during the interview
- Surgical scrubs are provided by the facility
- Free parking is available for travelers
- Orientation is held every other week on Mondays
