Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a minimum of 5 years of L&D experience and an active AZ or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a Labor & Delivery unit with postpartum and newborn care responsibilities
• Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) environment with babies rooming in with mothers
• Unit averages approximately 40 deliveries and 6 C-sections per month
• Primary schedule is 12-hour day shifts with flexibility required to cover other shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Floating to other qualified departments may be required, including taking a patient load or performing task-oriented duties such as answering call lights or phones
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active AZ RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care required; additional experience may be required in some cases
• Required certifications: BLS/BCLS, ACLS (or ALSO), NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) — RNC-EFM may be substituted for AWHONN FHM
• STABLE certification required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include care across L&D, postpartum, and newborn/babies room
• May be required to serve as charge nurse on occasion following charge nurse training
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required for this position
