Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg position at a Level II Trauma acute care hospital in Winchester, TN requiring a TN or compact RN license and AHA certifications.

Details

• Work in a 44-bed Medical Surgical unit at a 198-bed acute and skilled care facility with Level II Trauma designation
• Serves a mixed patient population of all ages
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• On-call responsibilities as needed; must be able to arrive at the facility within 30 minutes to 1 hour if called in
• Floating required as needed
• EMR: Meditech
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license valid in Tennessee (TN state license or compact license) required
• Current AHA certifications required prior to start: BLS, ACLS, and HWC
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidate's permanent address must be 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Cannot be employed full time elsewhere during the assignment
• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable; casual wear and hoodies are not permitted
• First-time travelers are not mentioned as eligible — prior travel or equivalent experience is expected given the experience requirement
