Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring interventional cath lab experience and a VA or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab with 3 cath lab rooms
• Unit staffed with 10-11 team members per day, including a mix of RNs and cardiovascular technologists
• Day shift only, no night shift coverage
• Staffing ratio of 3 staff members per room
• Uses GE X-ray/MacLab equipment
• Meditech EMR system
• Shift hours are 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• 13-week assignment
• No floating required
• On-call required for some weekends and weekdays with a 30-minute call-back response time

Requirements

• Active RN license (VA or Compact)
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in cardiac cath lab specialty
• Required experience in an interventional cardiac cath lab
• Experience in a high-volume lab handling complex cases preferred
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations
• Assist with Impella and balloon-pump procedures
• Support peripheral cases and complex PCIs
• Occasional work with additional cardiac devices
• Facility provides light blue scrubs
• Best suited for candidates who are easy-going, kind, and friendly
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy lab environment
• Professionalism and reliable attendance are essential
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• No local candidates will be considered
