Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position in Richmond, VA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of interventional cath lab experience and a valid VA or compact RN license.

Details

• Located on the 3rd floor of the Levinson Building at a hospital in Richmond, VA
• Cardiac Cath Lab unit with 3 cath lab rooms and 10–11 staff per day
• 3 staff per room patient ratio
• Typical procedures include diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, Impella, balloon pump, peripheral cases, complex PCIs, and occasional device cases
• Equipment includes GE X-ray/MacLab
• EMR: Meditech
• Day shift schedule, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• On-call required on some weekends and weekdays
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: RN, RCIS, or RT (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Minimum 2 years of recent interventional cardiac cath lab experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no exceptions; Canadian SSNs are not accepted
• No gaps in work history totaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Experience in a high-volume lab handling complex cases is preferred
• Must be able to report to the hospital within 30 minutes of call-back
• Hospital-provided light blue scrubs
• Professional conduct and reliable attendance are expected
• One professional reference required (two required for candidates licensed in Florida or Missouri)
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• 13-week contract
