Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of current IR experience for a 13-week assignment at an acute care hospital in Richmond, VA.
Details
- Work in an Interventional Radiology unit located on the first floor of the main hospital building
- Unit has 4 holding spaces and is fully staffed with 5 RNs, 4 Techs, and 1 PCT
- Day shift staffing consists of 2 RNs, 3 Techs, and 1 PCT
- Procedures performed include PICC and central line placements, paracentesis, thoracentesis, embolizations, filter placements, neuro IR, and biopsies
- Primary imaging equipment is a Philips Biplane system
- EMR is Meditech
- Schedule is 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- On-call coverage required for after-hours weekdays (6:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and 24-hour weekend call
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of current Interventional Radiology experience, with active experience within the last 6 months
- RT(R) certification required
- Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
- Neuro IR experience preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required (two required for candidates from Florida or Missouri)
- License required if applicable
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Neuro IR experience is a preferred qualification and candidates with this background will be given priority consideration
- Hospital scrubs are provided
- Ideal candidates are strong multi-taskers who adapt easily to change and work well in a team environment
