Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Neonatal ICU (NICU) position requiring Level IV NICU experience and the ability to float across the children's units, working night shifts in an acute care hospital setting.
Details
- Level IV NICU within an acute care hospital setting
- Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts (36 hours per week)
- 13-week contract
- Floating required across all children's units
- EMR or computer skills required
Requirements
- Active RN license (standard OK or Compact) required
- Certifications required: BLS and NRP (both from the American Heart Association only)
- Minimum 1 year of NICU nursing experience required
- Level IV NICU experience required
- Level I Trauma hospital experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Full date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include assessing and monitoring neonatal patients, administering medications, initiating and managing IV infusions and blood products, and documenting patient responses to care
- Collaborates with physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Communicates care plans and discharge instructions with patients and families
- Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Advanced NRP is preferred but not required
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after 26 cumulative weeks before being eligible for a new contract
- Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, and medical requirements) must begin immediately upon offer acceptance
