Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Neonatal ICU (NICU) position requiring Level IV NICU experience and night shift availability in Oklahoma City, OK.

Details

• Level IV NICU in an acute care hospital setting
• Night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• Level I Trauma hospital setting experience required
• Floating required throughout all children's units
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma or Compact) currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS and NRP — both from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in a NICU setting
• Level IV NICU experience required
• Level I Trauma hospital setting experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Full Date of Birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assuming care for an assigned group of neonatal patients, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, and delegating tasks to support staff
• Collaborates with physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Communicates care plans and hospital procedures to patients and families, including at discharge
• Advanced NRP is preferred
• Compliance requirements are strictly enforced — candidates should be prepared to complete onboarding steps promptly upon acceptance
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a new contract (extensions are limited to one time, for a maximum of 26 total weeks)
