Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week acute care assignment at a Level II Trauma Center in Redding, CA.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within a Rehab unit serving PT, OT, and Speech therapy patients
• Level II Trauma Center
• 10-hour day shifts, 4 days per week (7:00am–5:30pm)
• Every 3rd weekend required
• Holidays worked on a rotating basis with permanent staff across all modalities
• Cerner EMR in use
• No floating required
• PT aides available on unit to support daily operations
• Hospitalist available 24/7; RT and Pharmacy also available 24/7

Requirements

• Active OT license for the state of California required; license must be active at time of consideration — pending licenses will not be accepted
• Minimum 2 years of OT experience required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• COVID vaccine required
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• 8 hours of floor-specific orientation provided
• Dress code requires a burgundy polo or button-down long-sleeve shirt (available through the hospital vendor) and solid dark pants — no scrubs allowed
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates who worked PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
