Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical/Surgical unit at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital with 379 staffed beds, designated as a Level II Trauma Center
- Medical/Surgical unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
- 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week period
- Floating required between all facilities within the state
- No on-call required
- Epic EMR — experience required (hard stop)
Requirements
- Active TX or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- A minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty and setting are required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Licensed nursing personnel are required to wear solid navy blue scrubs (solid tops only; print tops are not acceptable)
- Free surface parking is available on-site
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Minimal RTO is expected for this position; limited days may be approved but significant RTO requests could impact assignment consideration
- All RTO requests must be disclosed prior to submission — requests made after submission or offer may be denied and could result in contract termination
