Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital with 379 staffed beds, designated as a Level II Trauma Center
• Medical Surgical unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week period
• Floating between units and all facilities within the state is expected
• No on-call requirements
• Epic EMR — experience required (hard stop)

Requirements

• Active TX or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Active professional license at time of consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Licensed nursing personnel are required to wear solid navy blue scrubs (print tops are not acceptable)
• Free surface parking is available in designated Employee/Visitor Parking lots
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• Minimal RTO is expected for this position; any RTO must be disclosed prior to submission and approved in advance
