Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in Massena, NY, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience, Epic proficiency, and a valid NY RN license.

Details

• 13-week travel contract
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes COPD, pneumonia, non-specific abdominal pain, cellulitis, and chest pain rule-out cases
• Patient ratios: 1:6 on days, 1:7 on nights, and 1:8 on weekends
• Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Every other weekend (EOW) coverage required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
• Proficiency in telemetry interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with blood product administration, central line care/management, PICC line management, and IV insertion/maintenance
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), and non-invasive airway management
• Experience managing patients with CVA, seizure disorders, and substance withdrawal
• Familiarity with isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
