Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in Gaffney, SC, with potential floating to a secondary campus and on-call requirements.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit at a hospital-based setting
• Resource Float Pool position — primarily assigned to one campus but may float to other units at additional campuses as needed
• RNs will be informed of their scheduled campus in advance
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 48-hour weeks are also available
• Weekend shifts required on an as-needed basis
• On-call required; two on-call shifts or two additional shifts per six-week period
• Epic EMR experience preferred but not required

Requirements

• Active SC or Compact RN license required prior to start (pending license considered during review process)
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required; 2 years preferred
• Must be able to pass a Cardiac Dysrhythmia Test and Medication Test on the first day of orientation (one attempt allowed)
• Must be able to pass an on-site respirator fit test; shaving may be required to achieve a proper seal
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• This is a Resource Pool position with floating responsibilities across multiple campuses and units as needed
• Holiday coverage is required as part of the on-call commitment
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; RTO requests made after submission will not be honored
• An attendance policy is in effect — missing more than two shifts during a 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract review or cancellation
• Block scheduling is not available for this position
