Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU (PICU) position requiring servo vent experience, Level II trauma background, and experience from a large pediatric hospital.
Details
- 32-bed PICU at a large children's hospital
- Typical patient population includes non-cardiac medical/surgical ICU patients spanning respiratory, trauma, and neuro cases
- Patient ratio of 1:2 on all shifts
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required; travelers are floated first, typically to NICU or CCU but may include Med/Surg
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- Active NE RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), and PALS
- Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) or Certified Critical Care Nurse (CCRN) preferred
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Experience with pediatric patients required
- Experience in a large pediatric hospital required
- Level II trauma experience required
- Ventilator management, intubation, and sedation experience required
- Servo ventilator experience required
- Diploma, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing program required
