Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Pediatric ICU (Stepdown) position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring a minimum of 1 year of ICU experience and Level I trauma experience.
Details
- Hospital-based Pediatric ICU Stepdown unit
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- ICU experience required
- Level I trauma experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Proficiency in IV initiation, regulation, and monitoring, including blood product administration
- Basic computer skills required
Additional Information
- Provides nursing care to pediatric patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
- Responsible for monitoring and documenting physiological data, administering medications, and coordinating care plans with patients and families
- Delegates tasks to support staff and coordinates with interdisciplinary team members
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
- Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may work a maximum of 26 weeks total (including any extensions); a 6-month separation period is required before re-engagement
- Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon offer acceptance — the facility does not allow delayed start dates due to non-compliance
- Full date of birth (DOB) required for consideration
