Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level 1 Trauma Center and teaching facility in Staten Island, NY, with night shift availability and experience across inpatient, outpatient, and ED settings.

Details

• Level 1 Trauma Center and teaching facility spanning 2 campuses with 700 beds total
• Exposure to a variety of settings including inpatient, outpatient, mobile, and ED
• CT exams performed include head, pelvis, trauma, specialized cardiac, and CT angiograms
• Equipment includes GE Revolution, GE Discovery, and Toshiba Aquilion ONE
• Night shift, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM; preferred schedule is 5x8-hour shifts Thursday–Monday, or 4x10-hour shifts Thursday–Sunday
• Every other weekend required

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience required; 2 years preferred
• RT(R)(CT) – ARRT certification required
• NYS DOH Radiologic Technologist License required (license required if applicable)
• NYS Injection/IV Certification required; candidates who are enrolled in or completing the IV cert course and applying for NYS DOH BERT certification will be considered
• BLS (AHA only) required
• Two professional references rated 'standard or above average' from a manager or above within the prior year in the same discipline

• Perform a full range of CT examinations including trauma, cardiac, and angiography studies
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are eligible to apply as local candidates
• Travelers are required to complete onboarding modules prior to assignment start
• Candidates with prior work history at this facility system may be subject to an extended review process before being considered
• Scrubs must be a matching top and bottom set in any solid color; no patterns; scrubs are not provided
• Closed-toe shoes required; minimal jewelry; long hair must be tied back; beards must be trimmed for mask fit-testing
• Nails must be free of chipping polish
