Description
American Traveler is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week seasonal travel assignment requiring an active CO or compact RN license and at least 1 year of recent acute care L&D experience.
Details
- Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit with 19 patient rooms, 6 PACU rooms, 6 triage rooms, and 3 L&D operating rooms
- Cares for labor and delivery, postpartum, and high-risk antepartum patients
- Performs vaginal and c-section deliveries
- Patient ratios typically 2:1, with 1:1 for complicated patients (not guaranteed)
- Uses FHR monitors (Novii and GE) and fetal scalp electrodes (FSE)
- Charts using CPN and Meditech EMR systems
- 13-week assignment with a 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM shift schedule
Requirements
- Active RN license (CO or Compact) currently in hand
- Minimum of 1 year current acute care hospital L&D experience
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Advanced 9th Edition), and AWHONN (Intermediate or Advanced) or EFM
- Mom/Baby, Peds, and/or NICU experience preferred
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Responsible for directing and coordinating nursing care for L&D, postpartum, and high-risk antepartum patients through the full nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Ideal candidates are flexible, friendly, and dependable
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility as local candidates are not accepted
