Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Lone Tree, CO, requiring at least 1 year of acute care L&D experience and active AWHONN or EFM certification.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting (Main Building)
- Unit features 19 patient rooms, 6 PACU rooms, 6 triage rooms, and 3 L&D ORs
- Day shift staffing includes a charge nurse, RNs, CNAs, and sitters; night shift includes 1 charge, 7–9 RNs, and 1 CST
- Patient ratios are 2:1, with 1:1 for complicated patients
- Fetal heart rate monitoring equipment in use, including Novii and GE monitors, as well as fetal scalp electrodes (FSE)
- EMR systems used: CPN and Meditech
- Day shift hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active CO RN license or compact RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital L&D experience required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Advanced 9th Edition, American Academy of Pediatrics), and intermediate or advanced AWHONN fetal monitoring or NCCEFM
- Minimum 2 years of total clinical experience required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required
Additional Information
- Procedures performed include vaginal and cesarean section deliveries
- Responsibilities include directing and coordinating nursing care for labor and delivery, postpartum, and high-risk antepartum patients using the full nursing process
- Experience in Mother/Baby, Peds, and/or NICU is preferred
- Ideal candidates are flexible, friendly, and dependable
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
