Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Vascular Interventional Radiology unit, requiring ARRT registration and a minimum of 2 years of experience or 3 travel assignments.

Details

• Vascular Interventional Radiology unit within a large hospital setting
• Patient population includes adolescents and adults
• Monday through Friday, primarily day shift hours
• PM, holiday, and weekend on-call shifts required
• 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
• 13-week contract
• Epic EMR used for charting
• On-site only; no teleworking

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program required; registry-eligible candidates must obtain certification before start date
• ARRT R.T.(R) registration required
• ARRT Vascular Interventional (VI) registration required within 18 months of start date
• Current BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross required
• Minimum of 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience, or at least 3 completed travel assignments
• Active, unrestricted license required (license required if applicable)
• Date of birth required for consideration
• COVID vaccination and booster required for eligibility
• Experience within a sterile environment and aseptic technique preferred
• Associate's degree preferred

• Produces high-quality diagnostic images meeting departmental standards across the IR suite and assigned OR areas
• Requires competency across a variety of imaging equipment and technology
• Practices and enforces radiation and patient safety guidelines
• Must maintain flexibility to work various locations, shift lengths, and times, including days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends with on-call pager response
• Travelers who have previously been on assignment at this facility may remain for up to one calendar year from their initial start date; a 30–60 day break is required before returning
• First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but the experience requirements must be met
