Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Vascular Interventional Radiology unit, requiring ARRT registration and a minimum of 2 years of experience or 3 travel assignments.
Details
- Vascular Interventional Radiology unit within a large hospital setting
- Patient population includes adolescents and adults
- Monday through Friday, primarily day shift hours
- PM, holiday, and weekend on-call shifts required
- 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
- 13-week contract
- Epic EMR used for charting
- On-site only; no teleworking
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program required; registry-eligible candidates must obtain certification before start date
- ARRT R.T.(R) registration required
- ARRT Vascular Interventional (VI) registration required within 18 months of start date
- Current BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross required
- Minimum of 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience, or at least 3 completed travel assignments
- Active, unrestricted license required (license required if applicable)
- Date of birth required for consideration
- COVID vaccination and booster required for eligibility
- Experience within a sterile environment and aseptic technique preferred
- Associate's degree preferred
Additional Information
- Produces high-quality diagnostic images meeting departmental standards across the IR suite and assigned OR areas
- Requires competency across a variety of imaging equipment and technology
- Practices and enforces radiation and patient safety guidelines
- Must maintain flexibility to work various locations, shift lengths, and times, including days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends with on-call pager response
- Travelers who have previously been on assignment at this facility may remain for up to one calendar year from their initial start date; a 30–60 day break is required before returning
- First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but the experience requirements must be met
