Description
American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray for a 13-week travel contract requiring an CA X-Ray Tech License, CA Fluoroscopy License, and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Details
- Acute care hospital radiology department setting
- Performs routine and specialized diagnostic radiographic examinations using stationary and mobile imaging equipment
- Variable shift start times between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM (Day) or 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM (Evening)
- 5x8-hour shifts per week
- Every other weekend required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of X-Ray Tech experience required
- CA X-Ray Tech License required (license required if applicable)
- CA Fluoroscopy (CAFluoro) License required
- Current BLS required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
Additional Information
- Performs a variety of diagnostic radiographic examinations and assists physicians with radiological guidance imaging during invasive procedures
- Operates complex stationary and mobile diagnostic imaging equipment
- Responsible for patient education regarding procedures, medications, contrast media, and associated biological effects
- Performs clerical duties including updating EHR, RIS, and LIS records, completing procedure documentation, and managing supply inventory
- Implements ALARA radiation safety standards and maintains equipment cleanliness and calibration
- May assist with orienting new staff and students to the department
- Former employees of this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Only one holiday RTO request will be approved for this assignment
- 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year are required for consideration
