Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Advanced Endoscopy unit position requiring at least 1 year of experience and AHA certifications in a hospital setting with on-call responsibilities.

  • Advanced Endoscopy unit in a hospital setting
  • Day shift, 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week (40 hours/week)
  • On-call required in addition to scheduled shifts

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or eNLC compact license) required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
  • Experience with moderate sedation, pre-op and recovery, and advanced endoscopy preferred
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

  • Responsible for managing an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions, and monitoring physiological data
  • Assists physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
  • Administers medications and manages IV infusions and blood products
  • Educates patients and families on care plans and hospital procedures, and coordinates referrals as needed
  • Candidates who have previously worked at this facility may return after a 6-month separation period following a maximum 26-week total assignment (including one extension)
  • Compliance with onboarding requirements (background checks, drug screens, medical requirements) must be completed promptly — start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliance
