Description
American Traveler is seeking an Echocardiography Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week travel contract in Las Cruces, NM, supporting a Joint Commission Accredited facility with a Cardiovascular Ultrasound unit.
Details
- Cardiovascular Ultrasound unit within a 199-bed acute care hospital with a 22-bed ER and 32-bed Critical Care unit
- Joint Commission Accredited facility, Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI, and Certified Primary Stroke Center
- Covers inpatient, outpatient, and Cath Lab procedure exams
- Procedures include Transthoracic Echocardiograms (TTEs), bubble studies, Definity contrast studies, and assisting with Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEEs), structural heart procedures, TAVR, and TEE during Watchman placements
- GE ultrasound equipment in use
- Documentation via Meditech and Change Healthcare PACS
- Sunday–Thursday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM shift
- One weekend of call (Fri–Sun) every 5th week
- No floating requirement
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of echocardiography experience
- RDCS certification required; Pediatric RDCS preferred
- NM State License in Echo required (license required if applicable)
- BLS (AHA) required
- Must be able to work independently as needed
- Proficiency with Definity contrast administration required
- Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Perform and assist with a full range of echo procedures including TTEs, TEEs, bubble studies, contrast studies, structural heart, and TAVR-related imaging
- Pediatric echo registration is preferred but not required
- Scrubs in any color are acceptable
- Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- AHA certifications required for consideration
- Located in Las Cruces, NM, near White Sands National Park and the Organ Mountains, with year-round outdoor recreation opportunities
