Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care (Neuro Stepdown) position on a 7A Neurology unit at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring neuro stepdown experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Position is on the 7A Neurology (Progressive Care/Neuro Stepdown) unit of a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• Neurology stepdown patient population with complex and high-volume cases
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Weekend coverage required — travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is not approved
• No on-call requirements
• Epic EMR is in use and experience is required

Requirements

• Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of neuro stepdown or progressive care experience required
• Strong med/surg candidates with NIHSS, ACLS, and some stepdown experience may also be considered
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume hospital environments with complex and diverse patient cases required — candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered

• The facility is a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center managing complex, fast-paced, and high-volume trauma and neurological cases
• Candidates must demonstrate a proven background in large-scale, high-pressure trauma environments
• NIHSS certification must be documented and verifiable for consideration
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
