Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ED RN for a weekend-only evening shift position requiring active KY or compact RN licensure and multiple emergency certifications.

Details

• Work setting is a hospital Emergency Department providing urgent and emergency medical care
• Evening shift, 12-hour days (11a–11p), 36 hours per week
• Weekend-only schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky or a compact state currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, ENPC, and TNCC
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• Previous nursing experience preferred
• Must provide MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, patient and family education, and facilitating admission, transfer, and discharge processes
• Clinical decision-making incorporates all four phases of the nursing process, critical thinking, and evidence-based practice
• Collaborates with an inter-professional care team to coordinate individualized patient treatment plans
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, and documentation auditing
