Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Elizabethtown, KY, requiring BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, ENPC, and TNCC certifications with a weekend and holiday rotation.

Details

• Hospital-based Emergency Department setting providing urgent and emergency medical care
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (3x12-hour shifts per week)
• 36 hours per week
• Weekend and holiday rotation required

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky or a compact state currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, ENPC, and TNCC
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• Previous nursing experience preferred but not required
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures
• Must provide MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, individualized care planning, patient and family education, and facilitating admission, transfer, and discharge processes
• Delegates tasks and monitors care provided by other team members in accordance with the plan of care
• Actively participates in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI monitoring
• Nursing practice is evidence-based and guided by hospital policies, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines
