Description
American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification for a night shift contract at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital.
Details
- Pediatric MRI unit within a large academic teaching hospital with Magnet designation and Level 1 Trauma status
- Patient population includes inpatient, ER, and outpatient pediatric cases
- Caseload varies by day
- 4x10-hour night shifts, 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM
- Holiday coverage required when holidays fall on a scheduled shift
- On-call is not required
- Floating within other buildings on campus is possible
- Charting is performed in Epic
- Teal top and black bottom scrubs required
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience
- Current BLS (AHA only) required
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
- Siemens MRI scanner experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
- SC license required if applicable
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this position
- Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
- Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized
- Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; approval is based on manager and unit needs
- Online orientation modules must be completed prior to the start of the assignment
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak hurricane months are August and September
- Parking is free on weekdays; a one-time $20 parking pass is required for nights and weekends
