Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital position, with state licensure required and rehabilitation setting experience preferred.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting, working within the PT unit
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• 26-week contract

Requirements

• Current state PT license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of direct patient physical therapy care and treatment experience preferred
• Experience in a rehabilitation hospital setting preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
• Driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include direct patient care, functional evaluation, and development of individualized treatment plans
• Evaluates treatment effectiveness and modifies plans as needed to optimize patient outcomes
• Assesses and addresses patient, family, and caregiver educational and cultural needs to maximize care benefits
• Maintains thorough documentation of evaluations, treatment goals, plans, and discharge preparation in accordance with hospital guidelines
• Coordinates and supervises support staff as part of care delivery
