Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Neuro position requiring recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience and a NH or compact RN license.
Details
- 21-bed Med/Surg Neuro unit within a hospital setting
- Patient population includes neuromuscular disorders, meningitis, TBI, spinal cord injuries, and head and neck cancers
- Serves as a Primary Stroke Center and Level IV Epilepsy Center — the only such center in Vermont and New Hampshire
- Surgical cases include brain and spine tumor resections, spinal surgery, and head and neck cancer procedures
- Telemetry monitoring required
- Day/Night rotation, 36 hrs/wk
Requirements
- Active NH or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years required
- Experience with chest tubes, trachs, and laryngectomies required
- Experience managing drips including Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, and amiodarone required
- Experience with lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients required
- Central line care, maintenance, and blood draws experience required
- Experience with telemetry monitoring required
- Complex wound care experience required
- Two references from managers required for consideration

- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
- Care for a diverse neurological and surgical patient population across medical and surgical specialties
